Patio Homes in Littleton

Patio home communities are a growing trend in the West Metro Denver area with retirees and business professionals looking for a low maintenance living option. They are also known as a paired home, garden home, lock and leave, or cluster home. These types of homes are often detached, freestanding units but typically very close together. They are unique in that they are usually ranch-style and are almost the same size as the lot they sit on which provides a small yard size that is easy to maintain. Most patio homes in Littleton are part of a homeowner’s association which provides the grounds and exterior maintenance for the property, but it also means rules and regulations must be abided by including the quantity of pets you own. Parking an RV, boat or other recreational vehicle on the premises isn’t allowed in most of the HOAs, but on a positive note most of the units include an attached garage for vehicles.

Patio homes are most like a single-family home compared to a condo or townhome. They offer privacy and usually an adequate amount of storage space. Patio homes can range in size from just a few square feet, to sprawling floor plans. Most have a small front and backyard space just like a typical home, so you won’t feel as claustrophobic as in a condo space. Littleton Patio Homes

Grant Ranch – Located in this large subdivision are three patio home sub-areas, Poppy Hills, Dorado Greens and Gray Hawk. These patio home complexes offer ranch and 2-story style patio homes with 1700-3700 finished square feet of living space. They also include an attached 2-car garage and basement. Dorado Greens is a gated community and was built between 1998-2000 by Larsen Homes. Gray Hawk was built by Metropolitan Homes from 1996-1998. Poppy Hills  is gated with 89 patio homes built by Metropolitan Homes in 1998 & 1999.

Riverwalk – Located in the zip code of 80123, Riverwalk is a sought-after condo, townhome and patio home development. The Lakeshore area offers 52 attached ranch-style patio homes built between 1997 through 2001. The small lot sizes of 2500 square feet offer low maintenance and are maintained by the HOA. Inside floor plans range from 1100-1400 finished square feet plus they all include a 2-car garage.

Dancing Willows – Located near the intersection of W Bowles Ave & S Simms St, there are 29 patio homes available. This private community provides residents with a pond, park, pool, clubhouse, playground and trails. These patio homes were built by Remington homes between 2009-2014, range from 3000-3500 finished square feet which includes a basement and 2-3 car attached garage.

Eagle Point – In Southwest Littleton you will find the Eagle Point Patio Homes.  The Eagle Point Homeowners Association maintains all the grounds around the homes and even shovels snow up to the home’s front door in the winter, plus they provide sewer, trash removal, water making them true lock-and-leave homes.  Most of the houses are ranch style with only a handful of 2 story properties.  They have 2000-4500 square feet including a walk-out basement and 2-3 car garages. These 103 patio homes were built by Remington Homes between 2004 to 2007.

Songbird – A gated community of 69 low maintenance patio houses in Littleton. All the homes are ranch style with 2000-3600 square feet of living space including a basement.  Most lots are 5400-7800 square foot with 2 car attached garage and there is a greenbelt within walking distance.The subdivision was built between 2002-2005 by Remington Homes.  MSI manages the HOA which maintains the common space, provides trash service, and plows the snow in the winter.

Meadow Ranch – Gated golf course townhome & patio home complex built in 2001-2003 by Village Homes. The units have varying floorplans with 1500-2700 square feet and they all include a basement and 2-car attached garage. Most units have upgrades and custom finishes including built-in shelving, central air-conditioning, gas fireplaces, in-unit laundry, walk-in closets, and hardwood floors. There are two HOA’s, Meadow Ranch Master HOA and the Village at Meadow Ranch HOA. The homeowner’s associations provide grounds and exterior maintenance, snow removal in the winter, and trash pickup.

Star Canyon – Located in the Trailmark subdivision, these patio homes were built between 2002-2004 by Metropolitan Homes. There are both ranch and 2-story styles with 1800-3300 finished square feet all of which include a basement and 2-car attached garage. The HOA maintains the small yard, so you can go on vacation without having to worry about mowing it. The Star Canyon Patio home complex is surrounded by 1500 acres of open space and trails.

The Overlook Plateau – These newer patio homes are adjacent to the Polo Reserve sub-area. All homes include 2500-3200 above square feet with 2-3 car attached garages. They have high-end finishes, gourmet kitchens, and grand staircases. Kids in the area will attend Wilder Elementary, Goddard Middle, and Heritage High School.

The Ridge at Stony Creek – This is an exclusive 55+ active adult community of 63 patio homes. The majority of these homes were built between 2004 and 2007. They have 2 car attached garages with 1500-1800 finished square feet. Also Columbine West Park and Pool which has historically been the District’s busiest outdoor pool is just 2 miles from this location.

Lakewood Patio Homes

Green Gables Reserve – This is a new subdivision located in Lakewood between W Jewell Avenue and S Pierce Street in Lakewood. The Green Gables Reserve Patio Villas were built between 2016-2018 with 2600-3100 finished square feet and a 2-car attached garage. They have gourmet kitchens, a cozy fireplace in the great room, and spacious master bedrooms. The HOA includes ample amenities including clubhouse and pool access, exterior maintenance with roof, fitness facility, common area grounds maintenance, insurance, sewer, snow and trash removal.

Solterra Patio Homes – The Solterra master-planned community has a variety of property styles including a few patio homes with were built by Remington Homes between 2013-2015.  These ranch style patio homes range from 1400 to 1600 above grade square feet plus they have a basement and attached 2 car garage.  Snow removal and yard maintenance are provided by the HOA for low maintenance living. The community also offers social events for residents, group fitness classes, and an Infinity edge pool to enjoy in the summer.

Morrison Patio Homes

Willow Springs – The Willow Springs Patio Homes community offers a lock and leave, maintenance free resort style living. They were built in the early 2000’s and boast 2500-2500 finished square feet plus an attached 2-car garage. There are both ranch style and multi-level patio homes available, most feature a walk-out basement, and mountain views. You can drive your private golf cart for a round of golf or enjoy fine dining at the Red Rocks Country Club. Plus, there are private trails, catch and release at Kingfisher Lake, and nearby horse trails with stables and an arena.
