Charlou Subdivision
The Charlou neighborhood was named after Charlou E. Dake, who purchased the land in 1927 for approximately $32.50 an acre. He eventually sold off the ½ to 1 acre lots to developers who have since built custom estates with floorplans ranging from 4,000 to 7,000 finished square feet. The 91 estates sit on either the inside or outside loop of prestigious Charlou Circle with there being only one entrance into the subdivision. Most of the homes were built in the 1980’s and 1990’s. The Charlou Homeowners Association maintains the common areas and provides snow and trash removal for residents. Quick access to the Denver Tech Center, shopping, dining, major highways and the light rail system to downtown make the Charlou and Chaumont neighborhood location perfect.
