It’s easy to overlook maintenance items needing checked and attended to around the house. We created a list of things we feel is important to keep your home and property looking it’s best. Feel free to reach out if you have questions or need any referrals, we’re always here to help.
- Clean out the gutters and downspouts and make sure nothing is loose. Improper drainage can lead to water in the basement or crawl space. Make sure downspouts drain away from the foundation and are clear and free of debris.
- Have your AC serviced and clean the drain line to insure it’s clear of debris. Clean coils operate more efficiently, and an annual service call will keep the system working at peak performance levels. It is also a good idea to change interior filters.
- Clean your windows and siding. This will keep the mildew from building up and make your home shine.
- Check the exterior of your home for cracks and damage to siding, trim, windows and doors. Repair, caulk and paint any damage found.
- Keep bugs out of the yard and away around the house. You can call a professional service to spray the house and yard or you can save money by doing it yourself with the products available at your local hardware store.
- Don’t forget to fertilize your flowers, lawn, trees, shrubs and vegetable garden. To help them flourish we recommend fertilizing four times a year during the major holidays: Easter, Memorial Day, 4th of July and Labor Day.
- Patch bare spots in the yard with sod or new seed. This will keep the yard looking nice and prevent mud being tracked into the house.
- Fire up the grill for your family and friends to have fun this summer!
